Contempoary tiaras and hair accessories:

With an interest in femininity and our percieved

notions of beauty, I create headwear that

is both delicate and fragile in appearance. Aiming

to bridge the gap between mass produced hair

accessories and traditional wedding tiaras, making

them visually intersting and aesthetically pleasing.

Tiara: White precious metal, fine stainless steel wires and hand-made acrylic beads. Approximate size 150mmx 140mm.

The Designer:

Wendy Jane Marshall graduated in the year 2000 from

Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College.

Gaining a one year residency at the Bishopsland Workshops

she designs and makes her own pieces, which can be seen

in several top wedding magazines and have been exhibited

in exhibitions including the London 'Dazzle' (2000).

She is also showing in the "Accessorise" exhibition at the

Crafts Centre and Design Gallery, Leeds, in May this year.

Materials:

You have a wide choice, including 18ct yellow precious metal

and white precious metal (both of which can be hallmarked),

fine stainless steel wire, small gemstone or glass beads and a

wide range of different colour hand-made acrylic beads.

To hire: Prices start at £50.00 per day, plus £50.00 deposit.

Commissions are welcome.
